Since 2010, we’ve been exploring video language as a tool to deconstruct and recompose reality. We are Alessandro Grisendi and Marco Noviello, and OOOPStudio is our artistic project.
In our work, we transfigure natural events and human experiences while keeping their primordial essence intact. Through the possibilities of technology, we create visual narratives that reveal hidden connections with the world around us. Nature emerges as a constant presence: not a symbol or metaphor, but a pure entity. It’s a silent witness of our time, a presence that watches over and succumbs to human action, fragile and powerful at once.
We celebrate and reinterpret natural elements, placing them in dialogue with contemporaneity, technology, and the urban landscape. We don’t embrace pre-established ideologies: we dig deep into human experience using digital medium as our privileged expressive tool – flexible in shaping narrative as much as action, creation as much as presentation.
In our creative process, art, technology, and human presence interweave. Each work becomes an immersive experience where spectators are not mere observers but an integral part of an evolving story.
Our installations, video performances, and site-specific works have found space in contexts such as the Venice Biennale, Teatro alla Scala, and the Dutch National Opera & Ballet in Amsterdam, where we’ve been able to express our research through projects ranging from performing arts to video mapping.
We work through constant dialogue with space and with the artists involved in our projects. Each creation stems from a profound exchange of visions and sensibilities, where video becomes a tool to explore new narrative and perceptual possibilities. Technology is never an end in itself, but a means to give life to experiences that touch the deepest chords of contemporary sensibility.
